This is a reproduction of the early (wide) style Westfalia trailer hitch, patterned after an original hitch, and built using a jig made from a junked bus frame. Fits 1956 to 1967 buses with square transmission support. This hitch is beefier than the original: the hitch shank is solid vs the original hollow shank; the longitudinals are square tubing vs open C-channel of the original. All hardware is included; it's all metric except for the U-bolts. The ball is CNC machined from 12L14 alloy steel.
8/20/2007 - sold out! I'm still contemplating making another batch. for shipping and lead-time information.
