| 07/14/05 | Palle Schultz | Well, had the driver floored it (if its a frontwheel drive car) he wouldn't have spun at all. Its a common fault to let go of the gas when the rear end comes. If it was a rear wheel drive he drove on the video, same thing goes, instead of turning left, he should turn the wheel slightly right and taken a 360 on the track with the foot down, to keep the rear wheels from jumping and having the car turn over.
The driver should try to learn the principles of weight transfer. Had he approached the corner with his left foot slightly touching the brake pedal, being ready to transfer the weight to his front left wheel, he wouldn't have 'over steered' the car to the right. Also he should have used the full width of the track, pointing his left front wheel to the end of the left curb, instead of trying to turn right. It's easy to be a know it all afterwards. But I been racing for quite a number of years and this crash seemed a bit to much like a beginners crash. ;-) |

| 12/17/02 | Dirk | Sure. They paid to use the Bus for two days of shooting. When I went to pickup the Bus, they were quick to point out the damage, and we agreed upon a repair price. It wasn't a fortune, but it helped me buy supplies to paint the Bus. |

| 12/14/02 | Dirk | I've found several, but none are exactly right. The one that broke had a square locking pin, not round like most I've seen. I've got one on there, but the early model ones cause the lock tumbler to stick out and not sit flush with the handle. Part # 221.841.631.H |
