    Here's another cooling system for single cabs in dusty climates. Unlike the Aus system of scooping air above the windscreens and ducting it under the load bed to the engine compartment, this sytem features "ear" scoops each side of the cab, with similar ducting under the load bed to the engine. Note how two cab rear panels have been used back-to-back to make a hollow duct for the cooling air. I have only seen this system on two pick-ups, both assembled in South Africa and both 1967 models. I don't know when single cabs were first assembled in SA, but earlier models were imported fully built up.

    09/28/02 Tom Mink It's especially interesting because a "normal" '67 singlecab would have had a full-width rear window.
