This is probably the worst transmission I've ever seen. On one side, 2 of the 3 studs that hold the backing plate to the reduction box had been stripped and helicoiled. It probably leaked like a sieve! I fixed it by welding in new studs, which necessitated a lot of filling on the back side so it wouldn't leak.

This is probably the worst transmission I've ever seen. Check out the severe pitting and bluing on the fulcrum plates!
