    we love our 71 bus. this is the inaugural trip to dave matthews band in the gorge. the bus was a prize in a rainier beer contest, hence the strange colors and an R on the front and not the VW. but we bought it from the winner and love it..

    This was taken at the Stonor park VW show held near London a few weeks ago. The bus was restored by Sam de Ville who did all of the work on his own on a limited budget. He did a good job - still looking good 5 years on!

    after 6 years i am once again a vw bus owner! i picked up this '65 microbus in toledo yesterday and was able to drive it home to milwaukee without incident. it took about 8 hours, but i made it! she's a little beat up from the ride, but is now resting peacefully in my garage.

    Kris waking up while we were camping near Young AZ. This was about 2 weeks prior to the bus being destroyed in a crash. But we are looking for ideas on restoring or for another bus to use the parts on. It is a 1970 Transporter. Has 2 cots and sink already installed. This bus has been very special to Kris and she would like to do full restoration if possible. Pics of the damage can be found at web page listed.
