    This is all the same bus over 5 years of changing it. It's slowly changing colors again this year as i find time to grind and prime it. She just got a new engine this spring and also a new 69 Squareback brother! I friggin love this bus. People still call me a hippy and it pisses me off but I'm cool with it i guess. I'm a surfer not a hippy garshdarnet. PEACE !

    i change the paint job every years or 2 just to keep it interesting while i do the body work little by little. the last spot i gott do it is the rocker/and floor section under the barn doors, needs bottom sections of door replaced also. Should be done in the up coming year then maybe I'll think about a real paint job

    found this sitting behind an old dude's house out in the country about three years ago and was recently able to get it back to my house. pics are of where it sat for 25-30 yrs. collecting some of the famous east coast rust around the bottom. it will be a slow resto for me and is also my first bus. it is originally a turkis/blue white paint under a sea blue re-spray.

    6V Generator was switched from to Alternator 12V, easier to buy parts and more juice for the bus. The engine is a 1641 with dual Weber Carburetors. The gear reductions have been removed so the bus goes 70 mph on the highway and lowered the bus 3, put on new transmission, newer wheels and tires, and a 1600 Kennedy racing clutch, includes after market stereo. Pictures show VIN number plate behind front, passenger seat and German Plate on passenger side ceiling. Did pencil etch from plate on ceiling, hard time getting it to show up on my camera.

    Advertising bus from the Land Of Kong (aka Dinosaur World) roadside attraction park in Eureka Springs Arkansas. The park was started in the 60s and featured over 100 lifesize dinosaurs and a 40 ft King Kong. The parks has been out of business for quite some time and this 66 riviera camper was parked back in '88. I found the bus still sitting in the park this August and made a deal for it in September. She hit the road for the first time in 2o years on Halloween night this year and with some luck, she'll make it to Bulli Brigade 14 in Florida this november!
