AR 59 DC resto
Here is the fuel tap restored and ready to go back onto the gas tank of the 59 DC. I was able to use the original cork gasket inside but had to find a new wire screen. The cotter key is also og. Some people think it might be "over restored", hehehe... it hasn't been restore, it's been polished and chromed beyond reason :-) For reference, the fuel tap on the left is from a 58, and the one on the right is a tap for a bug but sold as one for a bus... it won't work... Let the buyer beware!!!

Now in switzerland, this pannel is gonna be "restored" as an older model, with deck&taillights from a 56, semaphores, lowered, and painted with original cool color reference by vw in the 50's. wait & see... I'm looking for any split busses (specially crewcab) everywhere in europe. Phone +41324661121. Thanks...

Mid December last year I got this crazy idea after watching a local Christmas parade. My kids and wife though I was nuts. This big ornament ended costing about $300, but I think it was worth it. I'm working on getting my notes together on how I did the light set-up. So email me if you want the PDF.

Here are the fuel tap and choke cables from the 59 double cab. Both cables are stamped 'VW' on the metal part of the cable near the knob end. The choke cable is the one with out the black sheathing for about 10 inches on one end. The knob end parts polished up real well.
