at long last I can stop taking things apart and start putting it all back together. The bus has a creative eng IRS kit, ball joint front beam, front disks. Next job is re-wiring followed by lights engine g'box etc etc. Hope to have it on the road sometime in may. The paint has been rubbed back to the original dove blue and lacquered. OK so it looks rough but it has exposed some of the original sign writing which is cool.

I just finished a quickie hammering out and respray on my rat 75 Fleetline panel. The body's still very wrinkled (we got rear-ended by a double-decker bus 10 years ago), but this van is complete and almost original (bar the paint and upholstery and Kombi cargo doors). The Ratmobile has been reinstated as my daily driver, which it was for eight years between 1993 and 2001. For those that don't know what a Fleetline is, it's a 1975 (one-year only) Brazilian built splittie assembled in South Africa. The "newest" splitties out there -- only 29 years old!!!

We live in Calgary Alberta, thus the mountains. Took a very nice trip to Vancouver Island last summer. The paintjob cost about $30 in Canadian Tire supplies.

Both printed Dec 66. The beat-up one on top came with my doublecab; pictures and text are based on the "VW Delivery Van" (i.e., panel van). The mint one on bottom I bought, and is based on the "Volkswagen Station Wagon". I have never seen another copy of the top manual.
