The company was resurrected by George Walker, who was one of the main distributors in the '60s....maybe the van was his? It's now being run by his daughter, Deborah Walker-Harley, as www.wefilterit.com and there is an Australian outlet www.frantzfilters.au

Does any one know where to get the square "O" ring type gasket for these filters? Also have the instructions on how to install and change the toilet paper filter. |
| 08/28/02 | Randy | The Frantz Oil cleaner Co. was started by Skipper K. Yee in Stockton, Ca, USA. A Farmer, Frantz, in the area was using toilet paper to filter his equipment. Skipper and another person bought the
right to the idea and started manufacturing a new design. This was in the '50', I believe. They were sold on a direct marketing distributorship basis. The shield logo predates the oval logo, early '60'. The van that you have belonged to a distributor, who personally sold and installed the filters. I still have two of the oval decals and a lot of literature. Those were great filters and worked exceptionally well. |
