That's a hackjob just like Julian's. Don't try to make up a bunch of crap that VW made 19-window busses at Hanover. It's just a bunch of BS made up by people trying to justify the fact that they hacked their bus and now want to say it's original. |

| 07/30/02 | julian Dalton | Was sent phota from Denmark this year of bus with one side window blocked off. this was specified order by some foreign converter as some of the interior furniture would have blocked it anyway.so hey presto a factory produced 10 window bus.
VW are noted for their wilingness to sell in the special order market. what ive read of them anyway. Not looking for labels or excuses for this vehicle She was virtually dead when found. (Will post photo for you)Set out to rebuild a vehicle myself and young family can enjoy for many years to come, thats all. |
| 07/28/02 | Don't try to make excuses for your bus, trying to make it correct, if its a custom, say it is. There is no way you could order any window combo on any model, if so then why is there no factory buses like yours, or even any 67 23 windows? Sure you can order highroofs with windows, but that is a different story. Radar buses are coach built so that example won't work. I am waiting to see a bus with skylights and no sunroof, then I will have seen it all. | |

RHD British import. There was never any rear windows it was imported for a Devon Camper conversion. VW would supply vans with any combination of windows you cared for anyway. 11/21/23 was never a take it or leave it option. Even doors were cut in the front panel such as in German police radar vehicles |

| 09/22/02 | Mike Leathem | I'm looking for a picture of my old vw panel van I had back in 68-69, in my old hippy days. I never took a picture of it so I'm curious just what happened to it. It was painted like the american flag with a peace sign on the front and a giant peace sign on the top. I was in the Phoenix area most of the time. If anyone knows what happened to it or really has a picture of it I would really appreciate it. Thanks Mike |
