Here are some shot of my newest Bus. The Bus is a 1971 Deluxe with sunroof. It has a 1641 dualport, 1976 front and rear end, IRS lowering kit, luggage rack, billet fenders front/back (back is currently off as I am doing engine work), headlight covers, window louvers, porche 912 rims with 205x55x15, tiny steering wheel, and some after market low profile sport mirrors. Oh, not to mention it came with its own Transformer's Decipticon insignia made out of diamond cut plate steel that will replace the org. VW sign on the front of the Bus. But I hope that once finished my Bus will get as much if not maybe more attention then my husband's Hotwheels Bus. Let's Hope ;-)

Hotwheels sporting her new wheels at the March meeting for the Arizona Bus Club in Phoenix,Az. Some specs and info on the new wheels: Rims are 16X7.5 Prime Rims with 5x112 lug offset, Tires are 215x50x16. All half axels needed to be shortend by .75inches which included frabricating new axel nuts with cotter pin holes drilled. After installed no difficulty in turning or rubbing on inner well and cause of the bigger tire and rim size, speed has been increased and handling is like a sports car.

07/12/03 Daniel That's not a fruit hauler! its a sabrita hauler. Wich is chips like cheetos. You see i live in mexico so i should know. O and if you havent figured that big black box out on the front, thats a radiator. In mexico there not aircooled anymore. Now there watercooled.

What you can't see is I used the rear shock tower section from a 911 so I could use all the stock engine seals. It was a major project to do it this way.As well as trying to use as many stock Porsche parts as possible. It's a '68 I bought in '86. I restored it in '93. In the interior I took the partition out behind the front seats, installed Recaro seats, 911 gauges, gas heater mounted under back seat, as well as the stock 911 heater. The next project is to fit Koni adjustable shocks w/coil overs. The coilovers in the rear will replace the torsion bars, and in the front they will be helper springs to work with the leaf springs. I plan to track it a few laps once the suspension is in.
