Cab, minus dash
I'm disassembling the bus in preparation to go to the blasting shop, where the entire car will be media blasted and primered. When it comes back, I can finish the heavy metal work, and then proceed on to bodywork, and then maybe someday - paint!

Lower front corner of the passenger door; I'll more than likely section in a new piece rather than replace the door, because this is the original door, and barndoor doors are, of course, just slightly different.

My bus is trying to kill me! My bus is trying to kill me!

So I'm done working on the bus for the evening. I've taken a couple of digital pictures, and now I'm going to roll the bus back to the side of the garage so I can get a wider shot, and then put it away for the evening. I guess I pushed a little too hard, albeit with *one* hand - I had the digicam in the other - and I knocked it right off of the jackstands! The bus slid off in the front, which caused it to fall off in the back as well. Since so much metal has been cut out of the bus, it's *very* light. Plus I removed all the glass tonight, which is probably another 100 pounds or so. Luckily I had almost all of the frame welding done, so I don't think the frame was harmed in the incident, although I will have to re-measure everything again. The only damage I found so far was to the lower replacement valence and A pillar, which I was going to re-do anyway. The A-pillar is bent a little, so now the door won't latch, but the whole area is very flexible since it's not attahced to anything on the bottom. One of the jackstands fell sideways under the front beam, and was demolished. When I replace that jackstand and put the bus back up on the dollies, I'm going to strap it down to the dolly to prevent this from happening again.
