I made a patch piece to fill one of the pedal detents. A little grinding, a splotch of filler, and nobody will ever know this wasn't a barndoor kick panel...

In this picture you can barely see the chalk like where I'm going to cut the rest of the lower nose off. I'm going to section in the donor piece, complete with kick panel.

Prepping the donor nose Prepping the donor nose

Tonight I trimmed down the donor nose piece, removing the remnants of the floor and the kick panel channel. I also had to remove the frame head sections, because the LHD versions were not going to do me any good. The later nose section is very similar, with the exception of the channel where the front floor terminates and the kick panels reside, cutouts for the pedals on both sides (remember, most of these pieces are androgynous) and little support "nubs" for the front floor. Now the decision remains on where to cut to section in the new nose.
