like you, i pressume, a VW fan, i'm also a fan of VW Kombis and beetle, though i know from the start that I cannot restore one, i used to visit websites that have pictures of this vintage but very dependable vehicle. I hope one of these days, i will see that vehicle you are going to restore roaming around the city of davao. like you, i live and work also here in davao. good luck sir!! |

Tree-doors twel-places microbus, front-mounted engine and front end drive. Air-cooled V-eight engine V8, engine valve mechanism OHV, volume 2472 c. c. piston bore 75 mm and stroke 70 mm, compression 8,2, two carburetters Jikov, achievement 77 kW (105 horses) at 4800 revolutions per minute, torque 170 Nm at 3500 revolutions per minute. Four-speed transmission, maximum speed 120 km/h. Prototype microbus with motor Tatra 603 built in the year 1961 in branch race Tatra Bratislava. Air-cooled engine was set behind front axle and drived front wheels. Experienced too city wagon (small flatcar, pick-up) anologous construction. |

| 06/20/06 | Alexis Prappas - Brazil | Valeu Pessoal, Que pena no li antes esta mensagem, acabei de chegar de Curitiba. Fiquei cinco dias ai... e vi varias kombis interessantes e raras. Vi uma bay window primeiro modelo, branca, com o pisca dianteiro em baixo ainda, janelas largas na lateral, porta de correr e entrada de ar na coluna, como na kombi nova, pisca trazeiro pequeno. Deve ser um modelo importada, talvez pelo paraguai. Rara mesmo. Nunca tinha visto ao vivo. Deve ser 1968 ou 1969. Tambem vi umas de luxo lindas tambm. Abrao. |
