Went up to the local garden supply yesterday and collected 1 cubic metre of wet mulch, I usually do this towing a box trailer behind the VW Caddy or Range Rover and they really feel the weight (probably 1 tonne). I thought I'd give the ute a chance to earn her keep with something a bit more challenging than hauling my daughter to school or a surfboard up to Palm Beach. Piece of piss...those reduction boxes really make sense once you put a real load into the tray, the little 1500 didn't blink as we revved up the hills. I didn't hold up the traffic and when I got home it was easier to drive right onto the lawn and dump my load instead of frickin' around reversing a heavy trailer down the drive and turning it 90 degrees onto the lawn. Hope the imminent IRS conversion can handle this sort of workload!

I recently stripped down all of her other paint, fixed ALL of the minor rust spots/dimples/and other body blemishes, then resprayed her in her original colors (Montana Red/Cloud White). I put on new whitewall tyres, 205/70/R14. New Monroe Matic Shocks, new CV Joints and boots, new wheel bearings, adjusted the brakes, greased/lubricated everything, new gear oil. th interior was mostly original other than the curtians, stickers, and wood flooring, which i installedd immediately after buying it a couple years ago. I set the valves, changes oil/gaskets/strainer, electronic ignition, new battery cable, etc.
