Air-cooled V-eight engine V8, engine valve mechanism OHV, volume 2472 c. c. piston bore 75 mm and stroke 70 mm, compression 8,2, two carburetters Jikov, achievement 77 kW (105 horses) at 4800 revolutions per minute, torque 170 Nm at 3500 revolutions per minute. Four-speed transmission, maximum speed 120 km/h. Prototype microbus with motor Tatra 603 built in the year 1961 in branch race Tatra Bratislava. Air-cooled engine was set behind front axle and drived front wheels. Experienced too city wagon (small flatcar, pick-up) anologous construction. |
