at long last I can stop taking things apart and start putting it all back together. The bus has a creative eng IRS kit, ball joint front beam, front disks. Next job is re-wiring followed by lights engine g'box etc etc. Hope to have it on the road sometime in may. The paint has been rubbed back to the original dove blue and lacquered. OK so it looks rough but it has exposed some of the original sign writing which is cool.

I emailed you ages ago about a 1960 Double Door panel van that we bought in the UK after it had been imported from Arizona. Wellat long last I have got my act together and got the photo's onto PC to send to you. Attached photo's are how we first saw the van in a shop in the UK. We have done quite a bit since then, my wife has been rubbing the paint back to the original dove blue (our other plans mean paint will have to wait for a while). This has exposed a bit more of the signwriting which indicates the van beloned to a business called Thomas Goggan who was apparently a musical instrument dealer. I have been able to findsome history of the company up to about 1899 but nothing since then. The rust on the front panel and window frames has been fixed and I have just completed an IRS install on the rear end. There is still loads to do, front suspension inner sill replacement, lights, wiring, engine brakes etc etc. All good fun. I'll try to keep you up to date with progress. If you want any more photo's of work in progress let me know.

This is the new engine powering the 200amp alternator on custom stand. The engine uses a 2.1 Liter water boxer crank, and is now 1976cc. It runs a high lift cam, Kadrons, and a full stainless exhaust. It runs a later gearbox, but still the original reduction hubs, gearing is 3500rpm at 65mph which is nice. My van weighs over 2 tonnes with all the stereo (1/3 tonne batteries...) Even with all this weight, it still dose the 1/4 mile in 23 seconds :-)))

Hi there, here are some pics for the hall of shame of a Rhd barndoor combi used as a shed for field tools. Its a real shame as the body is quite solid but ther isn't an original barndoor trim part left (fancy that front bumper!!). I don't know what year it is, but any ways it's in a field in Malta (where I live) hope you like em!
