| 06/27/03 | Peter Weinzettl | I think the engine was from a BMW Isetta. Two seater micro car, where the only door opens upfront with the steering wheel. |

| 06/08/03 | Willie Viljoen | Hi Thom, Just a comment on engine availability - South Africa has a number of resources, including many new parts. If Timothy needs an engine, he could just buy a reconditioned unit from over there - it will take some organizing, but it is possible. Shipping is costly, but many South Africans are emigrating here - by posting a request through one of the (USA)South African clubs, maybe one can rent a bit of container space? I am contemplating if I should bring a 1957 van over, but transport cost is an issue -$5,000 for a 20 ft container. Thanks for enabling us to shate information like this. Willie Viljoen Colorado |
| 06/07/03 | Timothy Grandon | Hi Adam: Could you please email me back if you look at this. Would like to know where these are at and any info you have will be helpfull. vdubs4u@hotmail.com Please put DKW in the reply box. |
| 06/05/03 | adam | i know were a few of the vans and a few dkw cars are,the old man will only sell all of them together,he says he has nos parts, ect,he wants $10,000 for all,i've been told the vert dkw alone that he has is worth that,it would be nice to see them saved, its really too bad he wont seperate, because i just want the window van,his pile is here in oregon |
| 04/03/03 | Timothy Grandon | Way cool DKW. This is a very early van (55-56) notice the semaphores and no fender well covers and the front grill goes almost all the way across the front. I wish that more of window vans where out there or just any as of mater of fact. Hope this person is going to fix up the old bread box. Timothy Grandon |
