what is worth noting about the engine, and the whole car for that matter, is that it is original with 300,000 miles. although i rebuilt the engine, all the sheet metal and external engine parts are not repainted or restored, it is all original. here's a secret, use lemon pledge on your sheet metal to keep it moisturized and looking new. i did blast and paint the muffler and oil filter can, but that is all.

after 6 months of searching, i found a worthy soft window to replace the glass rear window installed by the orig. owner in 1969 after growing tired of plastic window. i had a new window stiched in place using the original stitching hole locations, so it is not detectable, and after a weekend of fabricating new supports and installation, here it is.

i purchased this completely o.g. 912 from the o.g. owner.it has never been repainted (bahama yellow) or restored and has almost 300,000 miles. it still had the radio block off plate when i bought it, he loved the sound of the engine. i am going to re-install the *soft* zip-out rear window.
