This is my new 1964 Standard. I found it in New Brunswick Canada. It is very rusty but is about 95% complete. The largest problem areas are the large roof dent, the rockers, cargo floor, rear corners, and the shot gun blast to the rear quarter. I am planning an eventual restoration.

10/24/02 Chris Boyne GT55- I would agree with you if I lived in the United States or in Central Canada but in the Eastern Maritime Provinces of Canada, Split Windows are basically non existant- so finding a East Coast bus even in this condition is rare.
10/24/02 gf55 I'd strip all the parts from this bus and put them on a cleaner 64 that needs them! Good luck!

Does anyone have a contact for the person that owns this bus?! I see it all over the place. It has been in Total VW at least three times that I have seen, it was shown in VW Trends at least ounce that I have seen, and it is on the fisrt page of the "Customs" section in the book "Volkswagen Bus the FIrst 50 Years." I am in love with this bus and would really love to talk to the owner about the paint job. This is my split window bus collectiong. I have 21 different bus' and 23 in total. I have found all of these locally here in Nova Scotia Canada except for the small blue and white standard, the small pearl white drag bus, and the Samba w/ Beetle on trailer. I bought these three pieces of ebay.com. My prized possessions are the red 23 window. It is from the Franklin Mint and is detailed byond belief and the closest of the two all silver bus' in the left of the pictures. It is in great conditions with both doors intact. If anyone is interested in trading literature or toys of any VW origin please e-mail me.
